A life-long resident of northeastern Ohio, he has been the managing attorney of the Personal Injury division at Amourgis & Associates since 2010. He focuses his practice on clients that have been injured or killed as a result of automobile accidents, slip and falls and animal attacks. Before joining Amourgis and Associates, he worked as a defense attorney for the large automobile insurance companies gaining first-hand knowledge of tactics and techniques used against plaintiffs by these companies in pursuing a case. For over the last thirteen years, he has successfully negotiated large settlements and represented injured plaintiffs as lead trial counsel in numerous counties and appellate courts throughout the state.
Francis graduated with honors from Miami University in 1992 and in 1998 earned his law degree at the University Of Akron School Of Law. Francis is a member of the Akron Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice and the Ohio State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and the federal courts of Ohio.
When away from the office, Francis enjoys coaching his kids in youth sports, running, and waiting for a Cleveland team to win a championship in any sport.
Bryanne L. Shaw joined the law firm of Amourgis & Associates in 2012. She received her Bachelor's in Arts from Miami University in 2004 and her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 2007. Bryanne's practice area is specialized on representing injured individuals across Ohio on personal injury matters. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
In her free time, she enjoys running, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends and family.
Raised in northeast Ohio, John J. Roszczyk has extensive experience as a civil litigation attorney, and has dedicated himself to representing individuals throughout Ohio in a variety of personal injury matters. Before joining Amourgis & Associates, John worked in two prominent defense-oriented firms in northeast Ohio, representing businesses and individuals in commercial loan, construction, premises liability, and professional malpractice matters.
John Graduated from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in 2000 and, in 2003, went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law. John is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Akron Bar Association, and the Scalon/Bell Inn of Court. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Ohio.
In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, cooking, and reading to his son.
Mark is the Head of the Civil Department, which includes foreclosure defense and bankruptcy cases. Prior to joining Amourgis & Associates, Mark spent seven years as a commercial and business litigator with Sonkin & Koberna Co., L.P.A.., after spending eight years in the Canton office of Black, McCuskey, Souers & Arbaugh and the Cleveland office of Kahn Kleinman, where he developed a broad-based civil litigation and creditor's rights practice.
Mark is skilled in the representation of business and individual clients in all phases of civil litigation, including complex pleading drafting, pre-trial discovery, trial practice and appellate practice in state and federal courts. Mark also has significant experience in the representation of secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7 liquidation and Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy matters, including asset sales. His experience includes litigation of construction disputes, real estate foreclosures, commercial lease disputes and adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court.
Mark also has significant expertise in the areas of consumer and commercial collections, as well as Ohio mechanic's lien law. Mark brings all of this experience to our Civil Division to ensure the best and most effective representation of our foreclosure and bankruptcy clients.
